I'm sure you know the story of "Jack and the Bean Stalk". Well this is "Tom and the Radish Stalk". Tom Is one of my names.This is a radish plant. I planted a single seed in the end of this pot last winter for a house plant and the rest of the pot in green onions. The onions thumbed their noses at me and died but the radish thrived. After the onions died I planted more radish seed. That's the green stuff down in the pot. It hasn't done much but the original radish is great. It has made beautiful little white flowers and is making seed which I hope to capture.
The tomatoes are coming in. Ain't they purty. I am a little disappointed in the flavor but that may just be my aging taste buds.

I'm jealous - our tomato plants are just starting to bloom and you're eating fresh tomatoes. I've seen radish plants go to seed, but never a stalk that big.
