It has been brought to my attention that Internet Explorer for some has stopped displaying content on this blog. All other browsers worked fine. I write this blog on Firefox and sometimes partially on Chromium for linux. I check it with Firefox, Chromium, Opera and Conqueror. I don't even have a copy of Internet explorer it being the worst of all.
So I did a little back tracking and detective work finding that the problem started when I added a JavaScript that enabled a statistic gathering program. I have removed it and I hope it solves the problem.
For those affected I apologized for the inconvenience.
Thanks to those that went to the trouble of using another browser and then let me know the problem through comments, email and one even in person.
I would appreciate either an email or comment of the status of the Old Fools Journal now.
Thanks in advance.

Has always worked fine for me, but of course I have a good virus program and it always warns me if I try to open IE ( internet Exploder) Mozilla Firefox is my browser and has been for ever.
I'll make a point to visit using IE. This comment is from my iPhone. Feel free to delete this comment.
Well per your recommendation I installed Chrome on my new machine and no problems with the blog now, got linux downloaded for the new machine so I guess I will finally see what that is all about since you have been telling me for the last year how great it is!
Good to go in IE mode now. I wish I had some of your computer skills, as I would've had to have our family IT guy figure all that out.
So far, everything here seems to pop up just fine. I use IE, never really tried anything else, except Mozilla Firefox once, and it just seemed so foreign and comlicated to me...hmmm, perhaps I should try again...I know that a lot of people really like it. Anyway...in the past week or two, at least half a dozen people have told me that they are having trouble viewing MY blog, either widgets are missing or the page doesn't come up at all. The past few days, I've noticed that even I cannot see a few of the widgets. Tried renewing the page, replacing them, etc., but nothing! So, I wonder, is it actually Internet Explorer or Blogspot that's malfunctioning?
Oh...and thank you for signing our "Guestbook"! How was the beer?

I'm using internet explorer and have never had a problem viewing content on your blog.
I started out with Microsoft with DOS and have stayed with them ever since. Currently running Vista and IE8, I have never had the problems I keep hearing about all the time. I keep all my programs at the current version and update them automatically at least once per week or whenever Microsoft releases new updates. During My approx 15 years as a computer repairman the one common problem for most was out of date virus protection. I currently have two free virus checkers running and they also update automatically. A lot of people, not all, but I would say most are simply too lazy or just don't want to bother with doing this and they are the ones that have most of the problems and then scream the loudest about bad Microsoft.
IE seems to be working fine without that red tab on the RH side of the page.
Lesson learned - be not a single web browser user of any variety!
Thanks to all for the feedback. I used to keep a old version of Windows XP and could run IE on that but it just became too much trouble to maintain windows so it fell by the wayside. My current OS is PClinuxOS and I run Firefox, Chromium, Opera and Konqueror. I am fortunate to have friends that keep me informed of IE's eccentricities. I have no anti-virus (not necessary on this system) and never have to defrag (not necessary on this system). I backup my important data and about once a year. I reload the OS when things start to slow down. That takes about an 20 minutes I believe though I have never timed it. In a pinch I can just run the system from the live CD and access the data from remote storage.
